Combining Botox and Fillers for the Ultimate Liquid Facelift
Millions of people get cosmetic treatments each year to look their best, and facelifts remain among the most common. Noninvasive methods like liquid facelifts are an effective way to get results with a lot of benefits, and here’s why.

There are many reasons we find ourselves not happy with how we look, and cosmetic treatments have become a wildly popular solution for improving on what we’re self-conscious about. Data from the American Cosmetic Association estimates over 20 million cosmetic treatments like plastic surgeries and minor procedures were done in the past year alone to improve how we see ourselves.

Nonsurgical treatments make up a sizable amount of that information, which means a lot of people are using solutions that can transform your appearance without long procedures and recovery times, including the liquid facelift. If you want better looks without lots of surgery, let’s find out what benefits you can get from this method to help you look your best.

If you live in the Lake Oswego, Oregon, area and you’re interested in a liquid facelift or other ways to get the look you want, our Laser & Aesthetics team at Lake Grove ENT is here to help.

Why is it done?

Collagen and elastin are proteins in your skin and various organs and tissues throughout the body, and they are produced in smaller quantities as you age. Over time, this causes skin to become less firm, and in areas where muscles are used repeatedly, dynamic and static wrinkles form and deepen. The dynamic type directly results from repeated movements of specific muscles, leading to lines and creases in your forehead, brows, on both sides of your nose, and around your mouth. The static type happens when the skin becomes less firm, and gravity pulls it down, leading to saggy eyes and jowls.

How does a liquid facelift help?

This is the term for treatments done using injectables to treat a range of cosmetic issues, such as adding volume to lips, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and filling in hollow or gaunt areas like cheeks or under the eyes. This can be accomplished using dermal fillers, often made with a natural substance called hyaluronic acid that is great for sculpting, volumizing, and smoothing areas of your face. In contrast, Botox® is used to relax muscles to help smooth out wrinkles.

This can also be done with the multiple laser therapies available to rejuvenate your skin, such as the Clear & Brilliant system, the ICON 1540, ultherapy, and intense pulsed light.

How long does it last?

You should see results immediately, and after the injections are performed, you should be able to return to your normal routine. Be sure to avoid contact with the treated areas for at least 36 hours. Depending on which combination of fillers and botox were used for your procedure, you can enjoy your results anywhere from 6-24 months, after which more injections will be necessary.

Liquid facelifts offer a solution where you can see results quickly with little need for recovery, and if that’s something you’d like to try, make an appointment with the Laser & Aesthetics team at Lake Grove ENT today.
