Clear+Brilliant

The Clear + Brilliant system is designed to deliver powerfully precise laser energy over the desired treatment area, resulting in a refreshing boost. When treated, new skin will start to form within 24 hours of treatment, but will remain covered by the old superficial layer of the skin. This new skin formation is temporary and can feel a bit like non-visible sandpaper. This usually lasts about 4 days, but can be longer for some skin types. During that time, the skin’s natural exfoliation process will reveal the newly repaired skin tissue.

With the Perméa, the skin’s permeability is enhanced, allowing for an increased benefit of topical skin care products, which are applied throughout the treatment. ICON 1540 Laser Resurfacing

The ICON 1540, a fractional non-ablative laser, can promote skin tightening, reduce wrinkles, and clear unwanted pigment with little pain and no down time. The technique is based on fractionation of the laser beam. Instead of a solid laser beam treating the surface of your skin, the ICON fractional laser divides the laser energy into an array of microbeams. 

These microbeams create microcolumns of treated skin; instead of resurfacing a large continuous layer, 1000 tiny treatment zones per centimeter are created. Surrounding each of the treatment microcolumns, untreated skin is present that allows the treated skin to heal faster with little discomfort and fewer unwanted side effects. 

The laser microbeams penetrate the skin and stimulate cells to produce more collagen and beneficial skin growth factors. In this way the skin is rejuvenated, pigment spots resolve, and collagen production is stimulated in the lower layers of your skin. The effect of the treatment is to plump and remodel the sagging skin, reduce wrinkles, pore size and pigment changes Tightening of the jaw line and neck can also be accomplished. The ICON laser is also used to treat acne scars, stretch marks as well as the loose skin of your upper arm, abdomen, buttocks and thighs.

The best results are attained with 4-6 treatments which are spaced about one month apart. Results will be apparent after the first three or four treatments and become more noticeable about a month after the treatment program is completed. Collagen remodeling and consequent skin tightening as well as skin rejuvenation continues for several years after the series of 4-6 treatments.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

This treatment utilizes Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to help brighten the skin and improve its tone and clarity. One of the unique advantages of IPL is that it is a “broad spectrum” approach that has the potential to address more than one skin issue in a single, state-of-the-art treatment.

 

What can be treated with an IPL?

Sun damage, hyperpigmentation, rosacea and flushing, visible blood vessels and enlarged pores can all be treated with IPL.

How does an IPL Work?

IPL does not use lasers, but another type of powerful light source called Intense Pulsed Light that reaches the deeper layers of skin tissue. Your provider will apply the gel to your clean skin. You’ll wear goggles to protect your eyes. The handheld IPL device will go right on your skin. The session will probably last 20 or 30 minutes. Large areas could take an hour or more.

While most people are fine with the light pulses, the treatment could sting a little. It might feel like someone is snapping a rubber band on you. It may feel like you have a sunburn for 4-6 hours after you’re finished. A cold compress or a cool washcloth can help you feel better.

Your skin may be red or swollen for a day or two. Some of your brown spots may get darker, but they should flake off within a week or two. During the treatment series, it is very important to protect your skin from the sun.

Ultherapy ®

Ultherapy® is the first treatment that tightens and lifts the skin to create the only FDA-approved, non-surgical brow, neck, décolleté, and/or face lift in under two hours.

Ultherapy® is micro-focused ultrasound energy that that is transmitted through a handheld device to target the layer just below the skin where collagen growth occurs. The other, more superficial layers of the skin are not affected by this ultrasound energy, therefore leaving them unharmed and fully intact. By targeting the deeper layer, the body’s own immune system will stimulate a healing response with new collagen growth, which will improve tightness and the overall skin appearance. The most commonly treated areas are the brow, neck and under the chin.

Directly following the procedure, the area being treated may appear slightly flushed and some mild to severe bruising and/or swelling may occur. The treated area may be sore to touch for about two weeks. Ultimate results will occur during the following two to three months after this treatment, and will continue to improve for up to six months. Most patients only need one treatment; however, some may benefit from more than one treatment (depending on the amount of skin laxity and the patient’s own biological response to this treatment)
